ParkSafe ("we", "our", or "the app") helps drivers in Los Angeles check street sweeping schedules and parking rules. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive:
- Email address — used to identify your account
- Display name and profile photo — shown in the app header
When you use the app, we store:
- Parking check history — the addresses you've searched and results returned, so your history syncs across devices
- Push notification subscription — if you opt in to sweeping reminders
How We Use Your Information
- To sync your parking check history across your devices
- To send street sweeping reminders you've requested
- To identify your account so you can sign in and out
We do not use your information for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond providing the features above.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.
Data Storage
Your data is stored on a private server in the United States. Parking check history is retained for up to 90 days. You can delete your history at any time from the History tab in the app.
Third-Party Services
- Google Sign-In — for authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Maps — to display the map and geocode addresses. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- City of Los Angeles open data — street sweeping and meter data is sourced from public LADOT datasets.
Cookies and Sessions
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
Your Rights
You can:
- Sign out at any time from the Settings tab
- Clear your parking history from the History tab
- Request deletion of your account data by emailing us
Children's Privacy
ParkSafe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
